So when we see a white shine spot, its palladium because we didnt give it enough proper HCL washes? Good lesson, thank you. I have seen that white sheen, now i know why. I had to run it through AR everytimr ive seen it.

Hai Owl how to percipitate Paladium from nitric acid solution or aqua regia solution? Did aded HCL to re-dehydrate solution then droped Paladium used sodium chlorate is the correct ways?
I’ve never used NaClO3 before so I don’t know, depending on what you have in solution and how clean you want your Pd you can use various precipitants: sodium formate, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), DMG, cementation to name a few…

2-3hrs
Dissolving the alloy in nitric acid is not a process identical to inquartation. They are two completely different processes, with completely different purposes, ending in completely different results.
How is the result different?
@@OwlTech333 Inquartation is a process where you ADD base metal to an alloy. Which then goes without saying, the result of inquartation is an alloy with a larger percentage of base metal. Nothing has been dissolved yet at the completion of inquartation.
Is the silver left behind?
No it stays with the gold
